The Derek Rose Dilemma: Is He Injury Prone, or is His Rehab Lacking?

This week Joe LaVacca collaborated with Joshua Jordan, a Physical Therapist currently practicing in the Northern Virginia area.  Josh is also the creator of the blog “Give and Go PT”, is a certified as a strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), and certified in manual trigger point therapy (CMTPT).  Josh has a strong passion for rehabilitation of athletes and basketball related injuries.  With the NCAA tournament heating up and the recent (re)injury to Derek Rose there has been growing discussion among healthcare professionals and fans alike on why certain players just seem to be unable to escape injury.  Check out the link below to read the full article over at “Give and Go PT” and stay tuned for part 2 of this series where Josh and Joe will demonstrate some of their favorite neuromuscular re-education/return to sport exercises they commonly prescribe to their athletes.  While your there be sure to subscribe to the blog!

“I have been to several PT practices over the years, and Perfect Stride deserves five stars. I worked with Vikash, who was knowledgeable and thorough and got me back on my feet – literally! Although I did not work with any of the other therapists, I observed they maintain the same high standard as Vikash. And Austin does a great job of keeping everything running smoothly. I am glad my doctor recommended Perfect Stride!”
